AstralPools new range of UV sanitisers harness the power of ultraviolet light to provide an additional layer of protection to the pool, boosting its sanitisation capabilities beyond the levels usually provided by typical chlorine or salt generator solutions. They are the perfect addition to a pool system to protect the family and provide cleaner, healthier water.

How does UVC work?

AstralPool UV Sanitizers use a sanitization method called Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI). This method uses a short-wavelength ultraviolet UV-C light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying and disrupting their DNA. When DNA is damaged, the organism becomes unable to function normally, it's unable to reproduce and cannot cause infection. UV-C light renders it harmless!

UV-C has a very strong biocide effect and is even able to kill microorganisms in pool water that are unaffected by traditional chlorine use. This means that in swimming pools, UV-C acts as a powerful disinfectant, capable of neutralizing even Cryptosporidium and other nasty pathogens that come in contact with it.

Simply plumbed in line along with your other sanitation equipment, the new AstralPool UV sanitisers provide an additional level of safety, keeping your pool in immaculate condition.
